Middle School Theology Teacher
St. Stephen's Episcopal School, a day and boarding school of 710 students (grades 6-12), is seeking a full-time Theology Teacher for the Middle School beginning August 1, 2025.
In addition to teaching Middle School Theology, the ideal candidate will join the Head of School, the Chaplains, and the other Theology Teachers to serve as one of the stewards of programming to support the school’s Episcopal identity of being a caring, diverse community, inclusive of all faiths and grounded in the Christian tradition, which nurtures moral growth and values the potential and dignity of every human being.
Duties include:
- Teaching (4) sections of Middle School Theology, grades 6-8;
- Contributing to two other areas of school life;
- Serving as a student advisor, supervising students during lunchtime, study halls, recess periods (if applicable), afternoon activities, library, Chapel and assembly programs required of the students; serving as a chaperone at student events, participating in student retreats, community service days, and attending team meetings, as assigned.
Qualified candidates should have theological training, familiarity with the Episcopal theological tradition, and experience teaching middle school students. Ideal candidate will also have pastoral experience with youth. Qualified candidates should submit their resume and a letter of interest addressing their qualifications for this role.
